The United States has withdrawn all of its B-1 bombers from the Royal Air Force Fairford base in the United Kingdom following a foiled terror plot last week, which American officials believe Iran was behind. The Department of War confirmed that a dozen B-1 bombers were redeployed to their home stations in the United States over security concerns.
RAF Fairford had been utilized by the U.S. to conduct rapid strikes against Iran. The decision to withdraw the aircraft came after authorities arrested six suspects who were allegedly planning a van bomb attack targeting the airfield.
