Nine members of a U.S. Marshals Service task force were injured when a second-story wooden deck collapsed while they were attempting to serve an arrest warrant in Huntsville, Missouri. The incident occurred on July 21 when officers from the Randolph County Sheriff's Department, Moberly Police Department, and the North Missouri Drug Task Force, operating in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service, were executing a warrant.

Body camera footage captured the moment the deck gave way, sending the officers, some holding firearms, falling to the ground. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed that none of the officers' weapons discharged during the incident. The man they were attempting to arrest was sought for failing to register as a sex offender.

Seven of the nine officers were treated and released from a local hospital for injuries described as "consistent with a pretty serious fall," including broken bones, according to Steven Lewis, U.S. marshal for the eastern district of Missouri. The suspect was apprehended later on the same day the deck collapsed.
