Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who is positioned to chair the House Judiciary Committee if his party gains a majority, stated on social media that the production of such a video by government employees potentially violates the Hatch Act. Raskin also asserted that the use of government resources for political campaigns is "blatantly unethical under numerous federal ethics provisions."
