Urth Caffé at LAX Named Best Airport Grab-and-Go in the Nation
The popular California-based chain earned the top spot in USA Today's annual Readers' Choice Awards.
Urth Caffé, a popular restaurant and cafe located at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), has been recognized as the best airport grab-and-go eatery in the United States. The designation comes as part of USA Today’s annual 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
The California-based chain, known for its organic coffees and boba teas, also offers a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including items like pancakes, sandwiches, and pizzas. The LAX location is situated in Terminal 1 on Level 3 of the airport.
Gaelle Bou Raffoul, general manager of the LAX location, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "This win reflects what our team strives for every day: quality coffee and food, along with an exceptional experience for every guest. I’m grateful for the care my team brings to each interaction and proud to see their work recognized."
Founded in 1991 with its first location on Melrose Avenue, Urth Caffé has grown to become a favored spot, even making an appearance on HBO's "Entourage." Co-founder Shallom Berkman conveyed his thanks to patrons, saying, "A heartfelt thank you to our treasured guests for voting Urth Caffé at LAX the No. 1 airport grab-and-go in the USA! We are privileged to serve you, from the heart, our exclusive heirloom organic coffee, matcha and healthy, fresh cuisine sourced directly from local, organic, regenerative family farms."
Napa Farms Market at San Francisco International Airport also made the list, ranking sixth. Urth Caffé, which has multiple locations across two states, is also expanding internationally, with a new location planned for London's Covent Garden in early 2027. The chain also operates internationally through a franchisee in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
