Unvaccinated Dating App to Host Second Colorado Mixer After First Canceled

A dating app exclusively for unvaccinated singles, Unjected, is proceeding with a second singles mixer in Colorado after its initial event was canceled. The upcoming event is scheduled for October 24, with the specific location to be revealed only to those who RSVP.

The first event, advertised through a flyer posted on the app's official Instagram, was intended to take place at a Denver bar called Recess in May. However, Recess issued a statement clarifying that they did not organize, sponsor, authorize, or book the event, stating their venue was promoted without their knowledge or consent. Following this, the event was canceled.

Unjected's website states that the app is tailored for individuals unvaccinated against COVID-19 or any mRNA-based injections, emphasizing its focus on "health-conscious relationships with those who share like-minded values and the convictions to remain unvaccinated."

Following the cancellation at Recess, the founder of Unjected, Shelby Hosana, filed a civil rights lawsuit against the bar. Hosana expressed gratitude on the app's Instagram page for support in advocating for bodily autonomy and the rights of the unvaccinated, stating, "They're making sure unvaccinated people can't be treated like second-class citizens in public spaces ever again."

Recess, in its statement to the Daily Mail, cited escalating safety concerns as the reason for opposing the event. "Once the scale of the event, lack of prior authorization, and escalating safety concerns became clear, the decision was made that the event would not be permitted to take place at Recess Beer Garden," the establishment said.

The lawsuit against Recess is currently pending. This upcoming mixer marks the app's second attempt to host an event for its users in Colorado.
