United Flight From Hawaii Experiences Severe Turbulence, Injuring Flight Attendants
At least four United Airlines flight attendants sustained injuries, including neck and back issues, when their flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles encountered extreme turbulence.
United Airlines Flight 1157, en route from Hawaii to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), experienced severe turbulence on Wednesday night, resulting in injuries to at least four flight attendants. The aircraft landed safely at LAX, but two of the injured crew members reported neck and back injuries.
Passengers described a frightening experience during the flight. One passenger, Marly Wadlington of San Diego, recounted the sudden onset of the turbulence. "I was watching a movie and all of a sudden we just drop," Wadlington told ABC 7. "And it felt like we dropped pretty far. It started shaking, everyone was yelling. We were all super scared."
No passengers on board were reported to have sustained injuries during the incident. The flight was operated by United Airlines.
