A highly anticipated 1-of-1 rookie debut patch autograph card featuring Dallas Mavericks player Cooper Flagg has been discovered in Rhode Island. The card, authenticated and signed by Flagg in July during Fanatics Fest in New York, was found during a livestream unboxing event hosted by RhodyBreakers, a division of the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island retail chain.
The discovery is considered a significant event in the trading card community. Christopher Card, a member of RhodyBreakers, described the pull as a "unicorn," noting that while their group typically handles high-value pulls in the $15,000 to $20,000 range, this card represents an exceptional find. The card's patch is reportedly made from the same jersey Flagg wore during his NBA debut.
Similar high-value cards have recently seen significant sales. In March 2025, a comparable card of Pittsburgh Pirates player Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million. Flagg's jersey from his NBA debut also fetched $1 million.
The Dallas Mavericks organization has announced they would offer a substantial reward for the finder of the card. The bounty includes premium lower-level tickets for 32 years, a signed game-worn rookie jersey, and a postgame photo opportunity with Flagg. Additionally, the finder will be sent to Boston to attend a Mavericks vs. Celtics game, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered, along with game tickets. The team also plans to arrange a private photo session with the Rookie of the Year trophy and the Larry O'Brien Trophy, offer a VIP tour of the team's practice facility, and include a meet-and-greet with players. The reward concludes with a private basketball experience for up to 10 guests at the American Airlines Center.
