Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska stated that her family's apartment in Odesa was destroyed following a Russian aerial strike on the Black Sea port city. Yastremska shared on social media that the strike, which she described as a direct hit by a Kalibr cruise missile, resulted in the destruction of her residence.

"This is what the 'Russian world' looks like," Yastremska wrote, accompanying her statement with a photograph of a burning multi-story residential building. She noted that the only item recovered from the wreckage was a Roland Garros towel. An image showed the distinctive orange clay court towel hanging amidst the debris.

The attack, which also affected the nearby city of Chornomorsk, occurred on Friday night. Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa regional administration, reported that 37 people were injured in the missile and drone assault. Among the injured was an infant, and two individuals were reported missing.
