Ukraine resumed drone attacks on Moscow overnight into Wednesday morning, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. The renewed strikes occurred hours after the departure of a plane that carried CIA Director John Ratcliffe to the Russian capital for an unannounced visit on Tuesday.

A Ukrainian official told ABC News on Tuesday that Kyiv had agreed to a U.S. request not to launch drone or missile strikes against Moscow during Ratcliffe's visit.

Sobyanin stated on Telegram that at least 10 drones were shot down while en route to Moscow, and emergency services were working at the sites where debris fell. Russia's federal air transport agency, Rosaviatsiya, reported temporary flight restrictions at three of Moscow's four international airports—Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, and Vnukovo—amid the overnight attacks. Ratcliffe's plane had landed at Vnukovo earlier Tuesday and departed hours later, according to flight tracking data.

Rosaviatsiya also reported flight restrictions at airports in Kaluga, Tambov, Penza, Saratov, Saransk, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, and Yaroslavl. The drones intercepted over Moscow were among 426 Ukrainian craft claimed to have been shot down overnight by the Russian Defense Ministry across 15 Russian regions and occupied Crimea.

In the Tambov region, a Wildberries e-commerce facility in Kotovsk was reportedly hit, causing a fire that covered an area exceeding 100,000 square meters, according to local Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov. The Ukrainian defense company Fire Point stated on Telegram that its munitions were used in the attack on the Wildberries facility, as well as on an oil refinery in Kstovoa, Nizhny Novgorod region. Local officials reported that an attack on the refinery was repelled, involving more than 40 drones. This attack damaged industrial facilities, residential buildings, and cars.

In Crimea, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev reported that three incoming Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles were shot down over the Black Sea.

Elsewhere in Russia, local officials reported that drone attacks killed two people and injured nine. The fatalities occurred when a drone crashed into a home in the Lipetsk region. Injuries were reported in Lipetsk, Belgorod, Voronezh, and Tula.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's air force stated that Russia launched 162 drones into Ukraine overnight, of which 134 were intercepted or suppressed. The air force reported confirmed hits by Russian drones in 18 locations. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that a woman and a 4-year-old girl were killed in a Russian attack in the northern Chernihiv region, with a 14-year-old girl injured. Fires were also reported in the Sumy and Kherson regions, though no casualties were reported there.
