Ukraine Faces Widespread Power Outages After Russian Aerial Attack

At least 600,000 people in Ukraine were left without power early Wednesday after Russia launched an aerial attack targeting energy infrastructure, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"A targeted Russian ballistic missile strike specifically against energy infrastructure -- the very infrastructure covered by the ceasefire announced by the American President," Zelenskyy said on social media.

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that both sides had agreed to an "energy ceasefire."

The outages on Wednesday could expand further, Zelenskyy indicated, citing significant damage to at least 26 power facilities and four others in the gas and oil sector. This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
