UK Doctor Identified as Woman Found Deceased in Norfolk Home
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder as police continue their investigation.
A woman found deceased in her Norfolk home has been identified locally as Dr. Hannah Terry, also known as Hannah Cain. Police were called to the property in Fern Hill, Dersingham, shortly after 2:20 a.m. BST on Sunday by the ambulance service.
A man in his 40s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. On Monday, authorities were granted an additional 32 hours to question the suspect. Police have not yet officially identified Dr. Terry, who was in her 40s.
Dr. Terry was reportedly working as a general practitioner at a nearby medical center. The Grimston Medical Centre's website indicates that it is "temporarily closed due to extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team." The practice has been closed since the weekend.
A police cordon remains in place outside the house on Fern Hill. A Home Office post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place on Monday.
