Right-wing blogger Craig Houston was detained at Edinburgh Airport upon returning from a holiday in Greece, and his electronic devices were seized. Authorities confirmed the detention was conducted under anti-terror laws.
In his most recent video, posted from Greece, Houston discussed recent protests in Glasgow, claiming he had predicted them a year prior and offering his analysis. The video included images of the demonstrations and a clip of men holding a vigil for Kriss Donald, a white teenager murdered in 2004. Police had previously issued a warning about hate crime following a protest outside a Glasgow home where windows were reportedly smashed. A senior police officer stated the property's occupier was an "innocent member of the public." Other protests have occurred in the Cranhill and Royston areas, and mounted police were present at a demonstration in the Springburn area on Friday.
