UFC 334 Returns to Madison Square Garden with Two Title Fights

Madison Square Garden will once again host championship-level mixed martial arts when UFC 334 takes place on November 14. The event will feature two title fights, including the first defense of the undisputed heavyweight championship by Ciryl Gane against challenger Josh Hokit.

This marks the third time in four years that Madison Square Garden has hosted a UFC heavyweight title fight. Gane, who claimed interim gold previously, is now recognized as the undisputed champion following Tom Aspinall's vacation of the title due to recovery from eye injuries sustained in their previous bout. Aspinall's injury occurred as a result of an illegal double-eye poke from Gane.

Hokit, who has a background in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals, earned his title shot through a series of victories against ranked opponents earlier this year. His championship challenge comes after his UFC debut in August 2025.

Women's Bantamweight Championship Showdown

The co-main event will feature a highly anticipated women's bantamweight championship bout between current champion Kayla Harrison and challenger Amanda Nunes. This fight has been promoted by the UFC as its "most anticipated women's fight ever."

The matchup between Harrison and Nunes was previously scheduled for January but was postponed due to a neck injury sustained by Harrison. The rescheduling for UFC 334 in New York indicates Harrison's recovery.

Undercard Details

The main card also includes a middleweight bout between Caio Borralho and Yousri Belgaroui, a welterweight fight pitting Uros Medic against Kevin Holland, and a flyweight contest featuring Bilal Hasan against Luis Gurule. The preliminary card, which precedes the main card starting at 9 p.m., includes:

  • Stephen Thompson vs. Charles Radtke (welterweight)
  • Drew Dober vs. Chris Duncan (lightweight)
  • Jim Miller vs. Terrance McKinney (lightweight)
  • Donte Johnson vs. Baisangur Susurkaev (middleweight)
  • Macy Chiasson vs. Bia Mesquita (women's bantamweight)
  • Adrian Yanez vs. Juan Diaz (bantamweight)
  • Nazim Sadykhov vs. Jefferson Nascimento (lightweight)

UFC has a history of holding events at Madison Square Garden in November, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue hosted significant heavyweight title bouts in previous years, including Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic in 2024 and Aspinall vs. Sergei Pavlovich for the interim title in 2023. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the UFC's debut at the iconic arena.
