An Uber driver struck by Miriam Yarimi, the wigmaker convicted in a fatal Brooklyn crash that killed a mother and her two daughters, has filed a lawsuit against her. Rustam Uzakov, 64, is seeking unspecified damages for injuries and emotional distress sustained in the March 29, 2025 incident.

According to prosecutors, Yarimi was speeding in her Audi A3 at 68 mph in a 25 mph zone along Ocean Parkway when she collided with Uzakov's Toyota Camry. The impact sent Yarimi's car into a crosswalk, where it struck Natasha Saada, 35, and her three young children. Saada and her daughters, Diana, 8, and Deborah, 5, were killed, while her son Philip, then 4, was critically injured. The passengers in Uzakov's vehicle survived.

Uzakov's lawsuit, filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court, claims he suffered severe injuries and emotional distress as a result of the collision. The exact nature of his injuries is not detailed in the court documents.

Yarimi, 33, who drove a vehicle with the vanity license plate "WIGM8KER," was sentenced to three to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of second-degree manslaughter. In April, a judge rejected her attempt to avoid responsibility, citing a handwritten note in which she claimed she was not liable due to a "medical emergency" during the crash. Yarimi had also reportedly told police after the crash that "the devil" was in her eyes.

Attorneys for both Yarimi and Uzakov did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
