Former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo stated on a podcast that he was warned of a plot to "eliminate" him and fellow whistleblower David Grusch. Elizondo recounted that a congressional staffer, who had reportedly just left a classified briefing on Capitol Hill, relayed the warning.

Elizondo described the staffer as "inebriated" during the call, where the individual informed him of discussions involving him and Grusch, indicating that "some people were very upset with what you guys did." While details of the alleged plot were not provided, Elizondo stated he is prepared for such a confrontation, citing his security measures including "five German Shepherds and I'm heavily armed."

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), also a guest on the "Hang Out With Sean Hannity" podcast where Elizondo shared these claims, corroborated the existence of resistance to transparency regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). Burchett recalled a friend of the administration warning him that he had "kicked a hornet's nest" and advised him to "get bodies around you."

Both Elizondo and Grusch are former intelligence officials who have been vocal advocates for the disclosure of classified information related to UAPs. Their efforts have reportedly been met with opposition.
