Tyreek Hill's Estranged Wife Alleges Attempted Punch While Pregnant in Divorce Trial

During the first day of a civil trial in Miami, Tyreek Hill's estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro Hill, testified that the NFL free agent wide receiver attempted to punch her in the stomach while she was pregnant with their child in July 2024. She is seeking punitive and compensatory damages in the lawsuit.

Vaccaro testified that Hill allegedly subjected her to physical abuse approximately every other week, detailing several instances of alleged assault. The most significant incident, she stated, occurred at an ESPN headquarters hotel. According to her testimony, Hill became enraged when she declined professional hair and makeup for potential interviews. Later that day, he allegedly attempted to strike her pregnant stomach, an action Vaccaro blocked with her hands. She further testified that Hill then told her he did not want the baby.

"Probably the worst of all these abuse times," Vaccaro described the July 2024 incident, adding that Hill also pulled her hair and ripped some out on the same day. She also recounted an occasion where Hill allegedly wrestled her for her ring and jewelry, tearing a necklace from her body and causing a cut between her neck and shoulder. Evidence, including an image of the injury, was presented in court.

Vaccaro also detailed other alleged physical altercations, including attempts by Hill to remove her wedding ring. She testified that Hill admitted to infidelity and that he repeatedly told her he would be going to a club with other women, even flirting with them in front of her. After she returned to their hotel room alone, Vaccaro stated that Hill took his own room. The following morning, as Vaccaro was packing her belongings, she refused to attend a 7-on-7 football tournament after feeling "disrespected and embarrassed." In response, she testified, Hill allegedly threw her belongings out of her suitcase, broke her computer, and attempted to remove her ring while twisting her breast.

Vaccaro stated that Hill twisted her breasts on multiple occasions during arguments and that he had physically picked her up to throw her out of their home. During cross-examination, Hill's attorneys sought to highlight discrepancies between her current testimony and previous depositions. They also accused her of being motivated by financial gain when she began her relationship with Hill.

Hill's legal team is expected to continue their cross-examination on Wednesday morning. This civil trial comes after previous legal entanglements for Hill. In college at Oklahoma State University, he pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation and received three years of probation. He was also investigated for a March 2019 incident in which his son sustained a broken arm, and for a domestic disturbance with Vaccaro in 2024. No charges were filed in those cases.

The wide receiver is currently recovering from a severe knee injury sustained last season and is seeking to join a new NFL team. He hopes to return to play in November, but could face repercussions under the NFL's personal conduct policy based on Vaccaro's allegations.
