Tyreek Hill Faces Disturbing Allegations in Civil Trial with Estranged Wife
NFL star Tyreek Hill appeared in court as his estranged wife detailed alleged abuse, including incidents during her pregnancy.
Miami, FL – NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill was present in court on Wednesday for the continuation of a civil trial with his estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro Hill. The second day of proceedings saw Vaccaro Hill testify about alleged abuse during their 17-month marriage. Hill, who has vehemently denied the allegations, was observed offering a thumbs-up gesture in court.
During her testimony, Vaccaro Hill claimed that Hill attempted to punch her stomach in July 2024 while she was pregnant, reportedly stating he did not want the baby. She testified that he also pulled at her hair on the same day. According to her account, Hill physically abused her approximately every other week, detailing multiple alleged assaults. These included an incident where he allegedly wrestled her for her ring and jewelry, causing a cut to her neck and shoulder.
Vaccaro Hill also described a period where Hill admitted to infidelity, telling her he planned to be with other women. She stated that after she returned to their hotel room alone, she began packing her belongings. She testified that Hill responded by throwing her belongings out of her suitcase, breaking her computer, and attempting to remove her ring before twisting her breast. She further alleged that Hill twisted her breasts during multiple arguments and on other occasions physically picked her up to throw her out of their home.
On Tuesday, the first day of the trial, the court was shown a nanny cam video reportedly capturing an incident involving Hill, Vaccaro, and her mother. According to a description shared by Cathy Russon, managing editor of Law&Crime/Court TV, the video depicted their infant daughter, Capri, born in November 2024. Vaccaro could allegedly be heard screaming for help while Hill reportedly shouted obscenities. When the baby began crying, Hill allegedly went to the crib to retrieve the child, prompting Vaccaro and her mother to ask him to stop.
Hill's attorneys have suggested the allegations are an attempt to extort money from the NFL star. Last month, his legal team stated that the claims are "nothing more than an attempt by Ms. Vacarro, her mother and/or her counsel to shake Mr. Hill down" and accused them of participating in a "smear campaign."
This is not the first time Hill has faced accusations of domestic issues. In college, he pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation and received probation. He was also investigated in 2019 for an incident involving his son sustaining a broken arm and for a domestic disturbance with Vaccaro in 2024, though no charges were filed in either case.
Hill is currently recovering from a knee injury sustained last season and is seeking to rejoin the NFL. He hopes to return to play in November, but could face disciplinary action from the league under its personal conduct policy depending on the outcome of these allegations.
