Tyreek Hill Claims Estranged Wife Stole Funds, Contributes to House Fire
NFL free agent Tyreek Hill testifies in divorce proceedings, refuting abuse claims and alleging financial misconduct by his estranged wife.
NFL free agent Tyreek Hill testified in his divorce proceedings on Thursday in Miami, addressing allegations of abuse made by his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro. Hill denied claims that he punched her while she was pregnant, pulled her hair, and shoved a smoldering blunt in her face.
Instead, Hill accused Vaccaro of stealing approximately $60,000 per month from a joint account and pressuring him to evict his mother. He also suggested that their frequent arguments contributed to the fire that destroyed their South Florida mansion in 2024, an incident initially attributed to a child playing with a lighter.
"I feel like me and [Keeta's] arguments were part of the reason why my house burned down," Hill stated from the witness stand. Vaccaro's attorney, Evan Marks, issued a statement calling Hill's accusations "completely and totally false."
While denying some of Vaccaro's allegations, Hill admitted to pushing her against a wall during an argument as he was retrieving his belongings and apologized for a recorded rant directed at her and her mother. "I pushed her against the wall. And I tried to force her to get off me. I created a hole in the wall, trying to force her to get off me that night," he said.
Hill also acknowledged making threats, stating, "I did make statements about she wasn't safe. I did make statements about me being able to get people to hurt her." He expressed regret, saying, "Like now, looking back, I wish I could have handled that situation better."
The receiver described their 18-month marriage as a tumultuous period that negatively impacted his career with the Miami Dolphins. He is currently a free agent and rehabilitating from a knee injury that required surgery at the end of the 2025 season. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has reportedly discussed his client's potential return with several NFL clubs.
Hill's testimony also touched on his past. Vaccaro is not the first woman to accuse Hill of punching her while she was pregnant. A former partner made a similar accusation in 2014, along with claims of strangulation. Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in that case and received three years of probation.
