Tyler Perry Lists Lavish Beverly Hills Estate for $57 Million
The filmmaker is also selling his Wyoming property as he plans a move to Puerto Rico and a reduced work schedule.
Filmmaker Tyler Perry has listed his expansive Beverly Hills mansion for $57 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. The estate, situated on 22.5 acres within the gated Beverly Ridge Estates, features a approximately 24,500-square-foot Mediterranean-style home with eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Perry purchased the property in 2004 for $4.3 million and completed construction in 2012.
The grounds include a swimming pool, fountains, a one-bedroom guesthouse, and staff quarters. The property has previously hosted notable guests, including Oprah Winfrey and former President Barack Obama. In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also stayed at the estate after relocating to the United States.
Perry is also selling his Wyoming retreat, a nearly 11,000-square-foot log home on 37.62 acres, which is listed for $39.5 million. Combined, the two properties are on the market for $96.5 million.
These sales come as Perry, 57, plans to move to Puerto Rico at the beginning of 2027 and scale back his workload. He announced his intentions to reduce his work schedule during a recent appearance on "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle."
Despite these sales, Perry retains a significant real estate portfolio, including a large property near Atlanta and his 330-acre Tyler Perry Studios production complex. His holdings have also included property in the Bahamas.
The market for high-end properties in Beverly Hills has shown resilience, with the median sale price increasing by 34.1% year-over-year in the three months ending in August, according to Redfin.
