Tyler Herro Denies Ex-Girlfriend's Claims of 'Aggressive' Texts Amid Custody Battle

NBA player Tyler Herro has responded to claims made by his ex-girlfriend, Katya Henry, that he has been sending her aggressive text messages. The dispute is part of an ongoing court battle over child custody and support for their two children.

Court documents, as reported by TMZ, indicate that Herro alleges Henry is creating "artificial drama" to gain leverage in seeking increased financial support. Herro, who recently moved to the Milwaukee Bucks after seven seasons with the Miami Heat, reportedly stated in his filing that Henry has made "unnecessary and irrelevant allegations," including the claim about aggressive texts.

Herro maintains that his communications with Henry are typical for co-parents navigating a separation. While acknowledging that neither party has always used "perfect" language, he asserted that his messages have been "reasonable."

In her own court filings, Henry had previously expressed concerns about Herro's "historical conduct," suggesting that "safeguards and parameters should be implemented" to protect the well-being of their children. She stated that she "intentionally" omitted specific details of the alleged conduct.

Reports indicate that Henry and the children moved out of Herro's Miami residence in February 2025, over a year before the legal dispute began. Herro has reportedly been paying child support since their daughter, Zya, was born in 2021. Their son, Harlem, was born in 2023.

This legal entanglement follows a nearly seven-year relationship between Herro and Henry. In 2022, Henry appeared to accuse Herro of infidelity in a now-deleted social media post. Herro is expected to earn a base salary of $33 million for the 2026-27 NBA season.
