Former Trump White House lawyer Ty Cobb has described Donald Trump's continued focus on the 2020 election results as the reaction of a "two-year-old who lost his toy." Cobb made the remarks ahead of an address by Trump regarding alleged election fraud.
Cobb cited Trump's past actions, including attempts to limit mail-in voting and efforts to pressure the Postal Service over mail ballots. He also pointed to actions by Trump allies, such as Steve Bannon and acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, to normalize the idea of military or immigration agents present at polling stations.
In an interview, Cobb suggested that the podium from which Trump addresses the nation should be viewed as a "crib." He characterized Trump's inability to accept the 2020 election loss as a consequence of malignant narcissism, stating that Trump "just can't abide that" and will "fight it with every lie that he can."
