Two more Metropolitan Police officers have been dismissed following an investigation into misconduct captured by a BBC Panorama documentary. The officers were filmed making offensive and inappropriate comments and glorifying force against detainees.

Commander Simon Messinger of the Met Police stated that all footage from the BBC investigation was examined to identify any misconduct not initially shown in the program. This review led to the swift suspension and subsequent dismissal of these two officers for their "appalling and inappropriate comments."

With these latest dismissals, ten serving officers have now been sacked for unacceptable conduct at the Charing Cross police station. The Met Police stated it continues to support the ongoing Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation.

The Met Police acknowledged that their own work continues to address cultural issues within the force that allowed such views to be considered acceptable behavior. Both dismissed officers were found to have breached standards of professional behavior related to authority, respect, courtesy, and discreditable conduct. They will be placed on the College of Policing's barred list, which prohibits them from rejoining the police service or working for certain police-related organizations.
