Two Men Charged in Connection With Manchester Woman's Death
Authorities have filed murder and attempted murder charges against two additional individuals following the stabbing death of Alisha Samuels in Manchester.
Two more men have been charged in connection with the death of Alisha Samuels, who was found with stab wounds in Manchester earlier this month. Carl Hardy, 19, and Tony Evans, 19, have each been charged with murder and attempted murder. Both have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Manchester City Magistrates' Court.
Samuels, 26, was discovered on Dorking Avenue around 2 a.m. on October 15 and was pronounced dead at the scene. Greater Manchester Police's Major Incident Team launched an investigation after locals reported hearing screaming and shouting.
Earlier this week, Lawrence Johnson, 26, was charged with the murder of Samuels and the attempted murder of another man. He also remains in custody and was expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
A 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but has not been charged. Police stated that information received from the public has been invaluable to their investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Justin Bryant expressed that his thoughts remain with Samuels' family and friends during this difficult time. He thanked the public for their support and urged anyone with further information to come forward, emphasizing the team's commitment to establishing the full circumstances of the events and securing justice for Samuels.
Friends have paid tribute to Samuels, describing her as a "beautiful soul" and "beautiful inside and out." Aimee Quinn recalled their close friendship and plans for future travels, while another friend noted Samuels' kindness and humor. A woman laying flowers at the scene, whose daughter attended school with Samuels, described her as having a smile that "would light up every room."
