Two individuals died when a small plane crashed in the California desert on Thursday morning. The incident occurred in Hesperia, located north of Lake Arrowhead.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that the crash happened off Summit Valley Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene following the incident.
Dramatic images from the crash site show the front of the aircraft significantly damaged. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by authorities.
The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District released images showing the wreckage in a brush-covered area, with law enforcement vehicles and personnel present. The plane was found nose-down approximately two to three miles from the Hesperia Airport.
