DUP MP for East Belfast, Gavin Robinson, stated on social media that the Ballygowan Road at Crossnacreevy was closed in both directions due to the ongoing incident. He expressed his thoughts for those involved.
The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) confirmed it is aware of the workplace incident and that inspectors are on-site investigating the circumstances. The HSENI is collaborating with emergency services and other agencies and declined further comment while inquiries are ongoing.
