Twitch streamer Nicholas Fosco, known online as Lacy, incurred a restaurant bill exceeding $12,000 after his viewers flooded the establishment with orders during a livestream from Japan. The incident occurred Tuesday while the 23-year-old content creator, who identifies as a college dropout, was recording his experiences live.

During a meal at a traditional restaurant, a server approached Lacy's table to clarify an unexpected order. Lacy, initially confused, soon realized that viewers had likely used a QR code displayed on the stream to place multiple drink orders without his knowledge. Despite attempting to halt further requests, the stream's chaotic progression had already led to an extensive order.

A server presented Lacy with a substantial receipt, informing him that the current total had surpassed 500,000 yen, approximately $3,200. In disbelief, Lacy later explained to his 3.5 million Twitch followers that the actual cost reached 1.6 million yen, roughly $12,000, due to accumulated orders placed by his viewers. The situation resulted in numerous prepared dishes going to waste.

Lacy, originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, reportedly apologized to the restaurant staff and committed to covering the cost. He also suggested the unserved food be distributed to families. He expressed frustration, stating, "I've never seen anything like that... I'm really upset right now."

Lacy has garnered a following through his Fortnite gameplay and "IRL streams," which feature creators sharing real-world activities. Comments on the stream indicated viewer reactions ranged from sympathy for Lacy's distress to criticism of his fanbase for orchestrating the costly incident. The five-hour, 50-minute stream also included segments on shopping and sumo wrestling.
