Twitch Streamer Komanche Dies at 30 After Posting 'Days Just Don't Get Any Better'
The popular content creator, known for organizing the Squid Craft Games, was found dead at his home in Mexico.
Twitch streamer Komanche, whose real name was Carlos Mauricio Gomez, has died at the age of 30. His death was confirmed by his representative, Byron Reyes, who shared the news on Instagram after speaking with the streamer's family. Gomez was found dead at his home in Monterrey, Mexico, after neighbors noticed his front door had been left open for an extended period.
Reyes addressed online harassment in the wake of Komanche's death, stating, "Bullying on any scale is no joke. On the internet, we ALL think we have the right to point fingers or criticize others without even knowing them or understanding how much those words can affect someone." He added, "And now I'm thinking about Komanche, who received so much hate for years and years. Please, let's be more mindful of what we post."
Komanche had amassed a significant following, with 1.7 million followers on Twitch and nearly one million on Instagram. His final post on X simply read: "The days just don't get any better."
The cause of Komanche's death has not been officially confirmed. He was well-known for his involvement in organizing the Squid Craft Games, a popular Minecraft competition inspired by the Netflix series "Squid Game." The event recreated the show's challenges within the Minecraft universe and drew attention from prominent Spanish-language streamers.
Following the news of his passing, many fans and fellow streamers shared their condolences. AuronPlay, a fellow creator, expressed his grief, writing, "Komanche, my friend, this hurts, this hurts so much. We were talking just four days ago. You can't imagine how much I'm going to miss you and the emptiness you leave in me, but wherever you are, if you're reading this, know that you were a good person and there were many people who loved you very much." Internet personality Ibai Llanos also posted, "Rest in peace, brother. We will remember you all our lives."
This news comes shortly after the death of Twitch streamer Adam Wolke, known online as Skyline TV, who died at 36 after suffering a severe brain hemorrhage.
