A Cincinnati traffic anchor’s startled reaction to witnessing a car crash live on air has garnered significant attention online. KJ Jacobs, who works as a traffic anchor and meteorologist for WCPO, was delivering a traffic report when a vehicle collided with another that had stalled in a highway exit lane.
"Oh sh!" Jacobs exclaimed, visibly taken aback and covering his mouth as the incident unfolded in real-time. He then addressed the unexpected event, stating, "I’m so sorry… Literally just watched a crash happen in real time and I almost said something inappropriate."
Jacobs later shared a clip of the moment on the social media platform X, where it has since been viewed more than five million times. He captioned the post, "OSh… First time seeing a crash during a traffic segment #blooper."
The clip prompted a wave of comments from viewers, many of whom defended Jacobs’ reaction. "You should be allowed to say s—t on the news if something like this happens live lol," one user wrote, while another commented, "That was an 'Oh s—t' moment if i ever saw one."
