TV Show '9-1-1: Nashville' Honors Chad Lowe's Daughter
A tribute card appeared on screen during the Season 2 premiere of the ABC series, which Lowe helps produce and direct.
The ABC series "9-1-1: Nashville" paid tribute to executive producer and director Chad Lowe’s late daughter, Fiona, during its Season 2 premiere on Thursday. A title card displayed the message, "In Loving Memory, Fiona Lowe," alongside a photograph of the 13-year-old.
Fiona Lowe died by suicide on Sept. 29, three weeks prior to the episode's airing. She was the second eldest of Lowe’s three daughters with his wife, Kim Painter. The couple also have daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
In a statement released after Fiona's death, the family described her as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance." They added, "She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time." The statement also shared the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline number.
A source told Page Six that Fiona was a "very well-liked student" and "had a lot of friends." Tributes also came from Lowe’s former "Bones" co-star David Boreanaz and Kendra Andrews, sister of sportscaster Erin Andrews, who was Fiona’s dance teacher.
Lowe's eldest daughter, Mabel, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, "I love you so much fiona ❤️ i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now." She continued, "I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."
The Los Angeles community has reportedly rallied around the Lowe family. "Several families from Fiona’s school have reached out offering how to help," a source told Page Six, mentioning meal trains and GoFundMe accounts as offers that have been shared privately within their circle. The family has reportedly declined these offers.
