Yvette Fielding, co-creator and presenter of the television show "Most Haunted," has reduced the asking price of her historic 16th-century Tudor house in Cheshire by over £300,000. The property was initially listed for £1.35 million but is now on the market for £1 million.
Fielding, who was also the youngest presenter on the BBC children's program "Blue Peter" at age 18 in 1987, has spoken about the paranormal activity at the Grade II-listed house. She previously described experiencing events such as a dining table moving across a room and kitchen chairs stacked in a pyramid formation. The house is reported to have hosted spirits, including a Cavalier named Charles Deacon and two children, Master Benjamin and Elizabeth.
While Fielding stated that the house is no longer haunted after she performed a blessing, a property expert noted that not everyone desires to live in a location with reported supernatural activity.
The estate spans 15 acres and includes period features such as a minstrel gallery. The grounds also feature a private lake, woodland, stables, a paddock, and a riding arena. The five-bedroom house offers 3,836 square feet of living space and includes a snug, workshop, office, and summerhouse.
Fielding and her husband, TV director Karl Beattie, are planning to relocate to the West Country, having developed an affection for Devon during a previous ownership of a holiday cottage there.
