Dr. Amir Khan recounted an embarrassing incident in which he mistakenly entered the wrong car at a supermarket, causing a young woman inside to scream. The TV doctor, 45, shared the anecdote on Instagram on Thursday, describing how he was distracted while speaking to his mother on the phone.
Khan explained that he had just finished work and stopped at a Morrison's supermarket for a few items. While on a call with his mother, who wanted him to check on a friend's leg, he was not paying attention and opened the door to a car that resembled his own. He then proceeded to sit in the driver's seat, only to find a young woman already there.
"Oh my God! Sorry, wrong car! Wrong car!" Khan said he exclaimed. He added, "It was awful. I think she now thinks I'm like some kind of carjacker." He quickly shut the door and apologized through the glass multiple times before locating his actual car in a nearby row.
The incident left Khan feeling mortified and prompted him to question why such occurrences seem to happen to him.
Dr. Amir Khan is known for his television appearances, including on the show "Lorraine," and co-hosts the podcast "No Appointment Necessary" with Cherry Healey. Previously, he was involved in a public debate on "Lorraine" with Piers Morgan regarding trans rights and women's spaces. The discussion, which also included host Lorraine Kelly, became heated as they debated the implications of a report that allowed people in restrooms to be asked about their sex.
