Turning Point USA Plans Presidential Library-Style Tribute to Charlie Kirk
Erika Kirk says plans for a permanent memorial honoring her late husband are underway as the organization expands its campus presence.
Erika Kirk announced plans for a presidential library-style tribute to her late husband, Charlie Kirk, as Turning Point USA (TPUSA) continues its expansion on high school and college campuses nationwide.
"It's on our list, and it's something that we have in the works," Kirk said in an interview with Fox News. She envisions the tribute as a lasting memorial for future generations of students involved with TPUSA.
"I want to make sure that it's something where our students that are currently in chapters, one day, their children will be chapter leaders or chapter members," Kirk told Fox News. She offered a behind-the-scenes look at TPUSA's Arizona headquarters, where tributes to Charlie Kirk are already housed.
These existing memorials include handwritten letters and Bibles from supporters, along with personal items belonging to Charlie Kirk. His office remains preserved, with notes on his desk and his chair empty. Kirk noted that her children are currently the only ones who use the office.
Kirk also stated that her husband left behind written visions for Turning Point USA, which continue to guide the organization. "I'm just so blessed and grateful that Charlie left with us hundreds of his journals," she said. "He wrote down a lot about the future of Turning Point and the vision of Turning Point."
According to TPUSA, student involvement has increased as the organization broadens its reach across the country. Kirk emphasized the importance of students to her husband's mission. "Students were everything to Charlie," she said. "This was his mission ground, was to be able to touch the hearts and minds of the students, and he did that. And through our amazing team that we have, we're continuing to do that."
