Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, arrived at the White House in the evening. During the festivities, President Trump presented Xi with a sculpture of a bald eagle. The U.S. president also offered his counterpart a tour of the White House's newly constructed ballroom, described as one of Trump's favored projects.
