President Donald Trump outlined his strategy Wednesday to energize Republican campaigns in the crucial final 30 days before the midterm elections, aiming to keep the House and Senate in GOP hands. His plan involves a concentrated effort of campaign trail visits and tele-rallies targeting 35 key races.

Speaking to Republican lawmakers and administration officials at a White House event, Trump stated his intention to visit each of the 35 races he has identified as critical. "I'm going to take the final 30 days, maybe a little bit more than that, because it's all about 35 races," Trump said. "I'm going to go to every one of those 35 places, and we're going to see if we can get everyone elected."

While the specific races were not detailed, Trump solicited input from attendees, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, asking for nominations of contests that are closely contested or where Republicans are trailing. "In some cases, you can be losing by a lot, and we'll bring you over the line," Trump added, emphasizing his goal to secure victories for all of them.

In addition to in-person campaigning, Trump plans to conduct as many as 10 tele-town halls each night in the lead-up to the elections, describing them as highly effective. "They're fantastic. They work amazingly," he said.

The president specifically committed to campaigning in Alaska for incumbent GOP Senator Dan Sullivan and in Texas for Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is engaged in a close Senate race. U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton speaking at a campaign event in San Antonio.

Trump drew a parallel between this intensive campaign schedule and his own 2024 presidential re-election effort, recalling a period where he eschewed leisure activities. "Four months out I said, 'OK, no days off.' If I didn’t make 4-5 speeches a day it was very bad. I just went around and really campaigned hard," he recalled. "For 4 months, there will be no pleasure. I’m not gonna go play golf. … All I’m gonna do is work, work, work, fight, fight, fight, win, win, win … and I did."
