Trump Unleashes Scathing Rant Against Bill Maher Following TV Host's Mockery
Former president criticizes Maher's ratings, character, and appearance in a lengthy online post.
President Donald Trump launched an extensive written attack on television host Bill Maher on Sunday, responding to jokes Maher made on his Friday night show.
Trump's critique, which surpassed 1,300 words, began with him labeling Maher a "COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER." The former president referenced a second dinner he had with Maher earlier in the month, describing the host as having arrived drunk and calling him "very insecure" and a liar. Trump claimed that after their first dinner, Maher was friendly, but reverted to his "former self" afterward.
"After the second dinner, Bill’s ‘show’ was far worse than the first. He went crazy!" Trump wrote. He stated that Maher's "Real Time" episode included jokes about their dinner, a comment about Trump's past association with Jeffrey Epstein, and called Trump's actions regarding the Russia-Ukraine war "unconscionable."
Trump accused Maher of being "gutless" for enjoying their dinner, citing Maher's business partner who allegedly said Maher "loves" Trump and respects him "more than anybody." The former president also advised Maher to stop smoking marijuana, stating it was "very bad for his health" and that Maher "looked like hell this time."
While praising former press secretary Karoline Leavitt for her appearance on Maher's show, Trump also called Maher a "biased, dumb SLEAZEBAG," "hopeless," a "coward," and "FAKE NEWS." He concluded his post by telling Maher, "Don’t call anymore. It’s useless."
