Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver a primetime address Thursday evening where he is expected to present information he has recently received from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence concerning the 2020 election, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Trump has repeatedly asserted, without evidence, that widespread fraud marred his 2020 election loss. The specific allegations he intends to make in his speech remain unclear.

Sources indicated that while Trump's plans are subject to change, the central theme of his 9 p.m. address is "election fraud."

Despite Trump's claims, official investigations and reviews have not found evidence of widespread voter fraud that would have altered the outcome of the 2020 election.

Trump announced the speech on his social media platform Monday, describing it as "really big news" and emphasizing the importance of "free and fair elections." He told reporters Tuesday that the announcement would be "a very big announcement."

During his previous administration, intelligence officials detailed efforts by Russia, China, and Iran to influence the 2020 election. However, these officials concluded that the interference would not have changed the election's result. An earlier suggestion that China was involved was later determined to be false by Trump's own intelligence community.

The White House has offered limited comment on the planned speech. "The truth is, nobody knows yet what President Trump will ultimately say, which is why everyone should tune in," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
