Trump to Attend Top-Ranked College Football Game in Tennessee

President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the college football game between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. The White House initiated contact with the university on Monday regarding security arrangements, with the decision finalized Tuesday night, according to sources familiar with the matter.

This will not be the former president's first appearance at a significant sporting event. During his presidency, Trump attended the College Football Playoff National Championship in January and Game 3 of the NBA Finals over the summer. He also attended the FIFA World Cup final in July.

Both Texas and Tennessee are entering the game undefeated, with 3-0 records. Texas defeated UTSA 30-6 in their last outing, while Tennessee secured a 42-9 victory over Kennesaw State. ESPN's "College GameDay" is also expected to be present for the matchup.

For Texas quarterback Arch Manning, the game carries personal significance as he will be playing against his uncle Peyton Manning's alma mater. Manning has completed 61.5% of his passes this season for 661 yards, with seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He will face a Tennessee defense that has allowed an average of 14 points per game.
