Key Engagements and Discussions

During his attendance, Trump is slated to meet with leaders from Gulf nations, who have been significantly affected by the conflict, including recent attacks on Saudi Arabia by Yemeni Houthis that could further disrupt global energy markets. U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz emphasized that the President "truly values hearing from them and hearing their concerns" directly.

The assembly will feature general debates beginning Tuesday, with addresses also planned from UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham and French President Emmanuel Macron. Discussions are anticipated to focus on the freedom of navigation and international law concerning vital shipping lanes such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
