President Donald Trump appeared to debut a darker hair color on Friday, generating significant speculation online after he disembarked from Air Force One in New Jersey. The former president was photographed arriving at Morristown Municipal Airport with what appeared to be a noticeably darker, more brunette shade, a departure from his signature blond hairstyle.

The appearance quickly led to a flood of reactions across social media platforms. Users on X, formerly Twitter, shared comments noting the change, with one person writing, "Trump becoming a brunette was definitely not on my 2026 bingo card." Another user questioned, "Is he getting a new hair color?" while a third remarked, "Seems brown is the new blonde ..."

Later, on Saturday, photos shared on Instagram by internet personality Michael Solakiewicz showed Trump golfing in a red hat that obscured most of his hair, making it difficult to ascertain if the darker look persisted.

This online speculation follows closely on the heels of Trump pushing back against allegations that he wears a wig. Earlier in the week, during a campaign rally in Ohio, Trump addressed the matter, stating, "I don’t wear a wig." He recounted an instance where windy conditions demonstrated that his hair remained in place.

Trump has maintained a relatively consistent appearance throughout his public life and presidency, with noticeable changes being rare. In 2019, he sparked similar discussion after appearing with what seemed to be a slicked-back hairstyle during a surprise visit to a church in Virginia. However, that particular style was short-lived, as he was seen with his usual hairstyle later the same day when speaking with reporters.
