Trump Slams Ukraine Refinery Strikes as 'Disgrace,' Cites Energy Prices

Former President Donald Trump has labeled Ukraine's recent drone attacks on Russian oil refineries a "disgrace," stating that these actions are contributing to increased global energy prices. The comments came in an interview with Newsmax published Thursday.

Trump's remarks follow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's decision to resume strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Zelensky had previously paused these attacks for three days, reportedly to align with U.S. preferences. However, he indicated a resumption of strikes after accusing Russia of continuing to target Ukraine's essential infrastructure.

In a separate interview with the Financial Times, President Zelensky described the cessation of U.S. intelligence sharing and the weakening of the Starlink satellite internet service as "dangerous" for civilians. He defiantly stated, "The block [on attacking refineries] is out. We’re done."

On Thursday, a Ukrainian drone strike targeted the Ryazan region, causing a fire at a significant oil refinery. This incident marked the first Ukrainian strike on an energy facility since Trump announced an "energy ceasefire" on Sunday. Additionally, a fuel terminal in Rostov-on-Don, southern Russia, reignited after burning for five days.

President Zelensky also accused former President Trump of a "betrayal" regarding the loss of crucial satellite data, as discussed in an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored.
