Former President Donald Trump marked Labor Day by posting approximately 40 AI-generated images to his Truth Social account, depicting scenarios of territorial expansion, renaming U.S. states, and asserting claims over celestial bodies. The posts, distributed over a 10-hour period on Sunday and continuing into Monday, covered themes of conquest on both Earth and in space.

One series of images showed a map of North America with Canada and Mexico depicted as annexed territories of the United States, shaded in patriotic colors. Another set of posts suggested renaming the state of New Mexico to "New America," presenting maps with the altered designation. In a separate post, Trump claimed ownership of the moon for the United States.

Other AI-generated content featured Trump ranking himself as the "Greatest" U.S. president, above historical figures like Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. One image depicted a figure resembling former President Barack Obama looking into a mirror that reflected Trump, with the caption asking who the greatest president is. Another image showed Trump arm wrestling Hulk Hogan.

Many of the images portrayed Trump in a larger-than-life manner. One depicted him towering over a command console on a rocket ship, captioned "Space Force." Another showed him seated on a throne-like chair, reminiscent of the Star Wars Death Star, with the caption "Give them nightmares."

The AI-generated posts also touched upon current events, including trade relations with Canada. One cartoon-style image showed Trump in a USA hockey jersey looming over a fallen Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. Another image placed Trump at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, surrounded by computer screens displaying stock prices, accompanied by a statement from Trump asserting his financial successes for the U.S. and criticizing "Radical Left Dumocrats."

Trump has previously used executive orders to rename bodies of water, such as the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and Lake Ontario to Lake America, in gestures aimed at North American allies. He also stated that the suggestion to rename New Mexico came from "several people" who believed the new name would be "much more prestigious and beautiful."

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, responded to the posts via social media, asserting that New Mexico's name is not up for debate and has been established "since before the United States existed." She contrasted the former president's actions with her administration's focus on assisting families.

Trump spent the Labor Day weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and was scheduled to return to Washington on Monday night. The former president regularly utilizes his social media platform to communicate his views, criticize opponents, and share content he finds interesting.
