Trump's Triumphal Arch Planned as Military Ammunition Complex

Former President Donald Trump has revealed updated plans for his proposed triumphal arch, which he stated will function as a military complex for storing ammunition and deploying drones and snipers. Trump announced the changes via his Truth Social platform, citing a "strong request" from the U.S. military and "national security purposes."

According to Trump, the "top grade" military complex and arch will "house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage." He asserted that there would be "no facility like this anywhere in the World."

Trump also commented that Washington D.C. is "the only one in the world that does not have a triumphal arch," out of "the 59 top cities and Capitals," though he did not specify which cities he was referring to.

Plans for the 250-foot arch, which were expected to commence construction this month, place it across the Potomac River from Washington D.C., near Arlington National Cemetery. Earlier renderings depicted the structure topped with a golden Lady Liberty statue, flanked by eagles, and inscribed with "One Nation Under God" and "Liberty and Justice for All." At 250 feet, the arch would significantly surpass the height of the nearby Lincoln Memorial and be half the height of the Washington Monument.

Details regarding the construction timeline or any necessary approvals for the modified facility were not provided.
