Former President Donald Trump has drawn online criticism after interacting with an artificial intelligence-generated version of Theodore Roosevelt during a visit to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota.

During the Wednesday visit, which aimed to honor the legacy of the 26th president, a virtual Roosevelt, animated by AI, offered advice to Trump: "Do not lose courage, and remember that the nation comes first."

Trump responded, "I am grateful for those words. I want to say that it is an honor to be here with you today."

Video of the encounter, shared by Trump's social media team, prompted reactions online, with one user on X describing the event as "profane."
