Trump's Display of Authoritarian Leaders in White House Sparks Outrage

Former President Donald Trump's display of framed photographs featuring him alongside authoritarian leaders Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in the White House has drawn sharp criticism. Images shared from the Palm Room showed the photographs hanging near a doorway, sparking widespread condemnation on social media.

Critics described the display as "disgraceful," "pretty insane," "despicable," "gross," and "revolting." Even Republican strategist Brittany Martinez stated that no U.S. president should display framed photos of dictators in the White House, calling it an insult to democratic values.

A photograph of Trump with Xi Jinping and another with Putin were among the images displayed. Both leaders' governments have faced accusations of extensive human rights abuses and political repression.

Notably absent from the wall display was North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, although Trump reportedly displayed a picture of himself with Kim in the West Wing during his first term. That photograph was later moved to the bar area of Trump Tower in New York.
