During a rally at a General Motors facility in Milford, Michigan, Donald Trump responded to a heckler who shouted insults during his speech. As Trump discussed economic policies, a man yelled, "Pedophile protector! Pedophile protector!"

Trump, after initially trying to speak over the disruption, addressed the heckler by calling him a "Communist." The crowd responded with chants of "USA! USA!" The former president then dismissed the interruption, stating he "didn't even hear the guy."

The protester's remarks appeared to reference accusations related to files concerning Jeffrey Epstein. Trump has previously denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, with whom he was once acquainted. Trump has stated he ended his friendship with Epstein over two decades ago and has never been charged with a crime related to Epstein's affairs.

The individual was escorted out of the venue by law enforcement while the crowd applauded.

Trump's visit to the General Motors Proving Ground aimed to highlight his economic policies and support Republican candidates in the state. He spoke about the revitalization of the auto industry and American manufacturing under his administration. During the event, he toured a GM facility and signed the hood of a Chevrolet Corvette manufactured for America's 250th birthday.

Michigan, a key battleground state that Trump flipped in 2016 before backing Democrat Joe Biden in 2020, has seen parts of its economy impacted by tariffs imposed during his presidency. Automakers have expressed concerns that tariffs on imported auto parts increase business costs and consumer prices.

Trump also endorsed several Republican candidates at the rally, including gubernatorial candidate John James and Senate candidate Mike Rogers. He spoke on a range of topics including the economy, foreign policy, and crime rates.
