President Trump reported more than $236 million in income derived from cryptocurrency token sales last year, according to his annual financial disclosures released Tuesday. This substantial income originated from World Liberty Financial (WLF), a company in which the president and his family collectively own a 38.25% stake.
WLF introduced the $Trump meme coin three days before Trump's reentry into the White House in January of last year. The company subsequently launched the WLFI token in September. While the market values of these digital currencies are publicly available, the disclosures provide new details regarding the income Trump claimed from their sale.
Trump's disclosure filing, spanning 927 pages, also detailed a broad range of his stock holdings, which the White House stated are managed by financial firms. The report further listed significant foreign revenue streams, including licensing fees from hotel and golf course projects. Among these, the filing noted $5.25 million in income from a forthcoming golf club in Doha, Qatar, stemming from a deal finalized in April, and $5 million from a Trump Tower project in Bucharest, Romania, announced in July.
