Former President Donald Trump remarked that his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has become a “different human being” and has “calmed down” since marrying Kimberly Guilfoyle in May. Trump made these comments while addressing staff and diplomats at the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Dublin.

"He’s calmed down so much. That’s like a good sign. He’s like a different human being,” Trump said, drawing laughter from the audience. He noted that Donald Trump Jr. was present with his family during the trip to Ireland.

Trump was in Ireland as part of a larger trip. He also made a lighthearted remark about his wife, Melania Trump, who remained in Washington to attend a Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony at the Pentagon. He joked about the seven-hour trip and his wife's initial reluctance to join him.

Donald Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were married in the Bahamas in May. The former president had missed the wedding due to what he described as pressing international matters, including escalating tensions with Iran. At the time, he characterized his absence as a no-win situation, facing criticism regardless of his decision to attend or not.

Donald Trump Jr. has been active in Republican politics, including speaking at a convention in Dallas. He has also been noted as a potential contender in future presidential nomination polls.
