President Donald Trump publicly rebuked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of an Oval Office meeting, asserting that he possesses knowledge of Iran's nuclear activities at the Pickaxe Mountain site and questioning Netanyahu's motives for making the information public.
The comments came after reports indicated that Netanyahu was expected to present Trump with evidence of Iran's pursuit of nuclear technology at the subterranean site. Trump, in an interview with "Fox & Friends," stated, "I don’t need Bibi to tell me that. Bibi is telling me that because he wants me to stay involved."
"We know exactly what’s going on," Trump continued. "But no, I heard Bibi announce that. I said, ‘Why don’t you just tell it to me? Why do you have to announce it to the world?'"
Trump added that he was aware of the situation at Pickaxe Mountain, describing it as "not a big problem." He indicated that if a deal with Iran was not reached, further action might be necessary, stating, "We took out their nuclear site, and we’ll have to take out Pickaxe if we don’t make a deal."
