The United States has conducted significant airstrikes along a 300-mile stretch of Iran's coast, targeting radar systems and military assets. The strikes, which occurred on Tuesday, hit areas including the oil-rich Qeshm Island and the southern port cities of Bandar Abbas and Chabahar, according to Iranian state media.
Dramatic video footage released by the Trump administration shows U.S. forces bombarding Iranian targets. President Trump, commenting on the operation via Truth Social, stated that he was not attempting to force Iran to the bargaining table and expressed indifference to any potential agreement with Tehran. He asserted that the U.S. holds "almost total control of the Hormuz Strait" and that Iran's economy is "totally collapsing."
Trump concluded his statement with a direct call to Iran's citizens: "When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight?"
In retaliation, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have launched a ballistic missile strike on Camp Titin, a U.S. Marine base located in Jordan. The U.S. military also released footage of fighter jets taking off from a warship.
