President Donald Trump responded to a question about his waning support among Latino voters by insulting CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes and her attire. The exchange occurred Monday outside the White House when Holmes presented Trump with new polling data indicating a decline in his popularity with the demographic.

A poll released by NBC News and Telemundo found that only 27% of registered Latino voters approve of Trump's performance. This demographic has been considered crucial to Trump's electoral victories.

When Holmes asked for Trump's message to these voters, he asserted that he was "doing great" before dismissing her and CNN as "fake news." He claimed his poll numbers are strong, pointing to the size of his rally crowds as evidence of his support.

Trump then directed personal comments toward Holmes, stating, "CNN poll numbers are fake. And your whole outfit is fake, and so are you."

This is not the first time Trump has targeted Holmes. In August, he called her "very disrespectful" and a "loud, boisterous person" in the Oval Office after she inquired about whether North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had requested a reduction in U.S. military exercises with South Korea. His team later posted on X that Holmes was a "disgraceful, humiliating embarrassment" to her profession.

Trump's administration has a history of targeting female journalists. He previously banned CNN from the White House and has been known to engage in personal attacks against reporters whose questions he dislikes.
